  • This book is a collection of songs written by John Dowland. These simple but intensely emotional songs are ideal for beginner and intermediate ocarina players. All songs are written in standard music notation. A demonstration CD with accompaniment tracks is also included. This book can be used with a 12-hole or a multi-chamber ocarina.

    Songs are all here. Not professional binding or layout, but nice to have the sheet music.

    Not bad, not bad.

    The style of music is not what I would normally play, so that was a small barrier to get past, but once I did this has been a lot of fun. Finding sheet music specifically for the ocarina has been kind of challenging.

    I used to read music in high school, but until January of 2020 it had been almost 15 years. This book helped a lot because it offered several different keys, rhythms, and time signatures to work with.

    Lastly, I chuckled at some of the song names. Namely "Daphne Was Not So Chaste" and "Then Sit Thee Down". John Dowland may have been the original OG.

    Great buy if you are on the fence.
