    Beautiful Instrument!

    This is my very first ocarina and I have been playing it nonstop since I got it! The instrument feels so nice to hold and fits perfectly in my hands. The notes all sound wonderful as I'm playing, it's such a great ocarina!

    My first ocarina - Awesome!

    I was curious to try my first ocarina, and reviews around the web recommended STL. I chose this model because it was in the key of D, which is a key I like to compose in, so I figured I could use this to solo on a couple of my songs.
    I found it easy to pick up in just a few minutes, and over the past few weeks I've just been jamming on it, trying to play some of my favorite soundtrack cues, and finding my own fingerings - a couple of which I think are easier to play and have a better intonation to my ear than the provided chart - so definitely play around with it and find what feels/sounds best for you!
    The tone is gorgeous up to about the high D, where it gets a little breathy, but that's obviously that limitation is in the nature of the instrument, hence the multi-chamber ocarinas which provide greater range.
    This ocarina is everything I'd hoped it would be, from being a professional recording-quality instrument, to an amazing stress releiver when I need to take a quick break from my day job.
    Which model is next on my wishlist? Hmm....

    I love everything about my Mirage ocarina! I love the rich sound, the smooth texture, I love how the design reminds me of snake's scales, and how its size fits a hand! The rich color does remind me of not only the desert, but also the season of summertime!
