The 12 Hole Water Ocarina is one in a series of ocarinas inspired by the elements that are essential to our wellbeing and existence. Handcrafted in high-grade ceramic with attention to detail, the flowing lines capture the beauty of gentle currents and the soft curves of a seashell. With sound as exquisite as its design, this tenor ocarina is as soothing as the sound of a rainstorm or the flow of a trickling stream.

    Enjoyable

I bought this ocarina on a whim to satisfy my need to learn something new. The ocarina is beautiful and feels good in the hands. The weight of it is as expected for a ceramic. The pitch is higher than I expected from a tenor ocarina, but to be fair - I'm also not an expert ocarina player so producing sounds as smooth as the sample videos is currently beyond me. I've enjoyed learning and playing this instrument more than expected and am already planning my next purchase. I would definitely buy from them again. They ship quickly and the product is secure too.

    Lovely

It sounds beautiful, which is why I wanted it (the beautiful appearance also helped). I knew what I was getting into when I chose this ocarina, so the low A subhole being on a ripple line did not bother me (honestly, it is not difficult for me to cover; but everyone has different hands/fingers). The only thing that lowered the rating was the breath pressure drop on that subhole. Because you blow much more softly on that one note, the sound is much quieter than the preceding notes. It is not the most practical for playing in the middle of a song (rather awkward sounding); yet, I am quite happy to ignore that hole and use it as an eleven-hole ocarina. I would be willing to get this ocarina again if the one that I have broke, just for the sound, the ergonomics, and for the pleasure it brings me playing it. It is adequate for much of the music that I play (hymns/spiritual/folk).
It is not a quiet instrument (played in tune); it is a diva that will be heard! Consider that if you are looking into this ocarina. It is strong and melodious.
Also, some find it to be heavy for a Tenor (alto) C. It was my first ocarina, so I figured it would be fine if I had nothing to compare it to. I have no problems playing it for extended amounts of time. The weight is balanced well. It feels substantial to me without being heavy or burdensome. Even after using lighter tenor/alto c ocarinas (plastic), the weight does not bother me.

    Wonderful- Just what I wanted!

This ocarina is perfect- the size, color and sound are all as advertised. Easy to hold and play, although one finger is a little awkward due to texturing. The walls are thick and the sound is heavenly. It even came with a thick neck chord! I will cherish it for years to come.

    Still Waiting to Receive It

I am looking forward to learning it if I ever receive it. Your company should not use DHL as a carrier. The only times I have had issues waiting for something is when the company uses DHL. Get back to me in 6-8 weeks and maybe I can actually review the product! 😠
