    Enjoyable but a little quirky

    I just wanted to capture some notes for anyone considering a purchase. First it's a beautiful instrument, it does take less breath pressure than my ceramic and plastic models. For any beginners thinking about this, it's a bit different to get the right notes, you have to be real careful about finger placement over holes as there's no finger grooves and secondly it does seem to build up some moisture which gives low D and below a rattly sound. A hard blow will clear it out but it's happened enough I now realize this is part of the instrument I will have to be aware of. High F requires a lot of breath still and is airy sounding.

    Really awesome instrument

    First time buyer and player, got the ocarina with some lesson and song books. Construction is solid and sounds really good too. Extremely satisfied. Great quality and and the starter lesson books are easy to understand and had me being able to play songs within the first 3 days. I would definitely recommend to others interested in playings.

    This is a wonder of an instrument because it is so small yet has the power to produce a sound that rivals the beauty of a violin!
    It is hard to learn at first but after you can play your first note properly you'll be on roll

    The Ocarina I received from STL is excellent. It is made from some extremely hard and very attractive wood. It sounds beautiful across the entire range and has no weak notes anywhere. In fact, I am going to buy a metal ocarina from STL. I have several wood and ceramic ocarinas and this one is by far the best one
