    amazing

I really love the egg ocarina. it gives a cheaper option for a base ocarina which are normally a lot more expensive. It is also well built and has a great sound to it.

    Solid Build and Tone

The Bass Egg is comfortable to hold- finger holes are easily manipulated. Feels durable, definitely a bit of weight to it. Fipple is close enough to mouth hole that with a bit of finesse you can play a half step lower than the root.
Gotta open your throat to keep the root note from running sharp, but tone is solid and consistent throughout its range; doesn't get all airy at the high end.
Could really use a fifth hole to achieve the 9th/ 2nd supertonic, but for a larger ocarina it's absolutely functional.

    Very happy with it

I'm really happy with the Dragon Egg Bass Ocarina from STL. It's a bit pitchy at times but has a super nice, calming sound. Be aware that it's pretty quiet. I was really excited about being able to try a bass ocarina at such an affordable price, and I'm really happy with this product. It's very fun to play. The holes for the left hand are pretty big, so sometimes I use my middle finger to cover the top one instead of my pointer finger. You also need to adjust your breath pressure to be able to make the pitch correct for some of the higher notes. It's somewhat hard to hit the high C. You really have to use your air to correct the pitch.
