This ocarina is very nice for the price. It has wonderful tone throughout it's whole range and is simply a joy to play. It feels very nice and solid in the hand, and being made of plastic is rather durable. On top of all this, the colors are gorgeous.A
This ocarina is really well made. It still surprises me to order something plastic that feels solid and durable, with an earthy tone. It's compact, I don't have to worry about it shattering if (when) I drop it, and it even came on a convenient neck cord!
I've only been playing the ocarina for a couple of years, so this was an easier transition than I was expecting! Switching between chambers takes some getting used to, and it will be some time before I'm able to do it well, but it will be nice to be able to tackle songs with more range!A
Good affordable triple ocarina.W
I've been playing the ocarina on and off for several years. Decided to bite and get a double, what the heck, you can play a triple like a double and it would be easier to move up. I'm really clumsy, I don't think a ceramic ocarina would last more than a month and was excited to see this plastic triple, Oh yeah!
Sooooo, I've been playing it about 2 weeks now, everyday for about 30 minutes a day and I love it. I've been working on Zelda's Lullaby and I just about have the switch between the holes. Great thing is I fairly large hands. I wear a size 14 ring and I don't have any trouble fingering this instrument. My wife is fairly petite and she doesn't have any trouble trying to play it either. Its very sturdy, great to travel with and not worry about it breaking.
Highly recommended for clumsy people like me and for you peeps that just want to try playing a triple ocarina without having to get a bank loan or pawn your first born.L
This is my first ever multi-chamber ocarina. I had a choice between going with this one or a double, but I settled with this as the price was great, it’s durable, my learning speed is fast, and the extensive octave ranges.
I just started practicing on it so here are my thoughts.
Like I said before, it’s a great starter for multi-chamber. It’s durable so if you drop it, it won’t break. It’s in tune and the coloring is beautiful.
I do have one other thing to mention. The B, C, and D notes on the first chamber are a little airy but enough air pressure should get the notes out. The same goes for C in the second chamber. I highly recommend watching the tutorial videos they give out for triple ocarinas. I also found out that the acute bend technique will somewhat help the airy notes.
I plan to get a ceramic triple ocarina once I master this. Anyway, it’s a good ocarina. I love this shop and I am definitely shopping here again in the future.
