Update to earlier review, fixed tuning

I reported before that the pig required a strong increase in breath pressure after you lift the left middle finger to get above C. Well I ordered another pig recently, and he or she had the same issue. No problem, now that I had two of them, I decided to try and fix one of them by carefully filing on the left middle finger hole. I used a very small round file, and only filed the bottom of the hole, not the outer top surface, which would have damaged the glaze and appearance. It worked! The little pig now has a very smooth increasing breath pressure curve throughout its entire range. I did the same thing to the other pig with a successful result also. It is actually an easy fix if you have a small file. And I'm blind, so anybody should be able to do this. Now my little pigs are perfect.

What a nice little pig you are. :)

When I first received the Pig ocarina I wasn't too happy at all with its tuning, but after working with it two days I really started to like this little pig. In the key of a low G, notes low G through the low C must be played quite softly, especially the C. Once you hit C# you must apply at least twice the breath pressure to play in tune. So this ocarina does not have a steady smooth breath curve. But once you get used to that, and make the proper adjustments, this little pig is really fun to play, and it has such a nice mellow and beautiful sound. I also noticed a little burr under the left middle finger hole. I removed part of this burr with a wood dowel, and after that it was easier to play in tune. Maybe the burr is the cause of the tuning issue? Not sure. So I must play it very softly through the first few notes, G to C, but then make a sharp increase in breath pressure. Master that, which isn't hard after a few hours of playing, and you'll have a really nice and pleasant ocarina. Fipple bend is a little more difficult than the horse, but it can be done. The fipple is a little farther away than on the horse, but F# and F should prove fairly easy to obtain. For an ocarina I didn't like straight out of the box, I grew to absolutely love it after two days. I will play this one a lot, love the key of low G and the pig's overall tone. Oink, oink. :)

Good instrument. Fun to play. The funniest thing is a friend mentioned I blow into its butt hahaha for sound.
