    Efficient and complete.

    Excellent balance between theory and practice. Books and DVd are working perfecty together. Book : do the job with ease, great daily exercices summary and scales practice recap at the end of the book. Good choice of tunes in the selected repertoire. Great teacher on the DVD, very pleasant and easy to follow. Heather is easy to understand even for a non native speaker. Thanks STL Ocarina for the quality of these items.

    Just what I was looking for!

    I received an ocarina for my Birthday last year so I ordered an ocarina method book and a song book that supposedly was "all the beginner player needed to play successfully". What I got was a book so poorly translated that I was only able to glean a few tips on posture and breathing, a chord chart and sheet music for full songs. Nearly a year later, I hadn't made any progress. I went looking for a book like we used in 5th grade band ( that was 20 plus years ago) that taught a few notes; both how to play and the notation, then had exercises with those notes before teaching a new note. This book was exactly that and the companion DVD is like having a music teacher in my home. I have made more progress in the week that I've had it than i did all last year trying to learn on my own. Also, i was pleasantly surprised to find that the book has a spiral binding so it lays flat without having to be held open.
