In the 14th century, the Chinese designed almost all of their clay products with blue and white porcelain. Blue and white porcelain became the foundation to later cultures, into the 18th century, and inspired Islamic ceramics, and European ceramics in creating their porcelain ware. It is not only a work of art in its own way, but it projects its sounds wonderfully off the walls of any concert hall.
This Ocarina has a unique shape to its 12-hole soprano, 13-note pitch range from A5 to F7, measures to be approximately 5 inches long, and is accurately tuned into C major. This instrument’s unique look, sound, and tone have left musicians in awe.
