  • Looking to master the 12-hole ocarina? Dr. Jenna Daum has written a book that will help you do just that. Practical Daily Exercises for the Ocarina Volume One is divided into fourteen chapters that cover the keys of C Major, F Major, and G Major. The note patterns in each exercise are designed to help you develop control of the fine finger muscles needed to become a great ocarina player with practice.

The book includes an exercise a day to be completed in 14 days and then started over again. Practice and fine-tune your new skills using instruction by an award-winning performer and teacher who has performed with orchestras around the country. The author uses these same exercises when preparing for a performance or recording a CD. Practical Daily Exercises for the Ocarina Volume One includes:

--- 14 chapters with daily exercises intended to be spread out over 14 days
    --- Designed for 12-hole ocarinas
--- Covers the keys of C Major, F Major, and G Major
--- Note patterns to help you develop control of the fine finger muscles needed to play the ocarina

    Decent

Decent exercises, construction of the book itself feels and appears cheap and flimsy.

I recently purchased "Practical Daily Exercises for the Ocarina Volume One" and have been thoroughly impressed. As an enthusiast of the 12-hole ocarina, this book is exactly what I needed to enhance my practice sessions. The exercises are well-structured and progressively challenging, making it easy to build upon skills each day. What I appreciate most is the clear instructions and musical notation provided throughout the book. It's evident that the author understands the instrument and has crafted exercises that are both enjoyable and beneficial for players of all levels.

Moreover, the variety in exercises ensures that I can focus on different aspects of technique and musicality, from breath control to finger dexterity. Each exercise feels purposeful and contributes to my overall improvement.

Whether you're a beginner or an advanced player, this book offers invaluable guidance and practice material. I look forward to continuing my musical journey with this excellent resource.
