My thoughts on the D&D Ocarina (as a beginner)

I've been doing a lot of research on the best place to find a good quality and a fairly priced ocarina, and I found just what I was looking for! This ocarina is really pretty and sounds great and even includes a themed description of how it can be used for D&D sessions! However, there are a few things that I personally would've changed about this ocarina.

First off the size of the holes (especially the thumb holes) were really big. I have quite small hands so it leaves slight marks on my fingers, but that could just be me. The other thing would be that I'd love for this ocarina to have a neck strap. Since this is a D&D inspired ocarina it would be really cool to be able to have it around your neck while going outside, wearing a cosplay or to just avoid dropping it while playing.

Overall I am really happy of what I got from STL ocarina and highly recommend it for beginner musicians!

    My daughter loves it

My 11 year old daughter purchased this Ocarina after deciding she wanted to learn to play and saving up for it and loves it.
Came at the top end of the shipping estimate which she wasn't pleased with but it did not exceed the estimated time frame.
She plays it daily and is getting good use out of it -she has been able to teach herself basic scales and tunes using YouTube videos.
Sounds a bit more like a recorder than expected, but that's not a huge deal considering.
All in all I asked her what she would rate it and she said "a solid 4 out of 5 stars" and, as a side liner, I'm going with her judgment.

    My first ocarina

As a recorder player, the ocarina was easy to pick up the fingering. It has a beautiful clear tone, the notes are accurate according to my online tuner, reminiscent of the South American flutes. Loved it enough to then purchase the hobbit one which has a closer overlap of the left and right hand holes and a bit easier to play. Love them both, high quality ocarinas.
