Good sound, with a learning curve.

This ocarina sounds really great in the lower register, but gets airy and hard to hit notes in the higher register without proper breath control or using the acute bend technique. After some time you get used to the proper way to hit the high notes. As long as you use proper technique, the notes will come out clear. For someone like myself with larger hands, this ocarina was a bit awkward to hold and get used to at first, and hurts my wrists a bit when playing in the higher register, due to the fact that I'm not used to holding this ocarina yet. But it's a minor inconvenience to me. I love the way this ocarina is shaped, and I love its soft, pure tone. It reminds me a bit of the sound of the ceramic "tenor" C Zelda ocarina. Another thing to note, the color of my ocarina was a lot more dull and washed out compared to the color of the ocarina in the photo. It might be one of those "every ocarina is unique" situations, so I won't really leave that as a huge negative, but I wish the almost sharpie blue color in the photo was more accurate to the ocarina I received, which was more of a navy grayish blue, with faint white in the middle. Otherwise, a nice ocarina to add to anyone's collection, especially for just the shape alone.

It has a clear beautiful tone

I love the sound and shape of the Ocarina. The instrument has a clear key of of c (maybe an octave or two off) but the tone comes out pitch perfect except when you try to do the note b-flat which I have a frustrating time trying to get both holes covered with the same finger. My hands were hurting after a few attempts and had to put it down. Besides that I love everything else about it. Four and a half stars from me.

It was a little hard to play @ first but I am starting to get the hang of it.
