12 Hole Bass Ocarina with Zelda Songbook

I hate to leave a negative review. I normally never do this because if I have issues with orders, or questions, I reach out to the seller.

However, seller communication here is nonexistent.

I called them and left them a message. I also emailed them.

The reason I purchased this is because my beloved cat, who has been my sister throughout my life, passed in my arms. This is for her memorial ofrenda.

Because Tinker Bell has helped me cope with her passing and Navi from Ocarina of Time is inspired by Tinker Bell.

The reason is Tinker Bell has a sister but they can't live together because she will melt. Also, if Tinker Bell goes to the Winter Woods she will freeze.

I view it as a metaphor for life and death. Just because they can't live together doesn't mean they aren't sisters and love each other. Same with me and my sister.

Since Ocarina of Time is my childhood game that inspired me to become a professional musician, I wanted to get this for my beloved cat, my sister's memorial ofrenda.

I expressed this to the seller but there was no response. Normally if I reach out to a seller and express how much their product means to me because of my Prolonged Grief Disorder, I receive some type of empathetic response.

So, for a "Small Business" to simply ignore my phone call and email is quite disturbing. I was already feeling like this is a scam.

Normally sellers respond to answer questions. However, due to no answering of phone calls or emails I have to write a negative review.

First off, the front page says free shipping but it's misleading.
"Become An All Stars Member
Enjoy FREE Shipping On ALL Orders"

It doesn't say you must be a member to get this. Some of us are slow, and it's not meant to annoy, but I did ask for clarification and got no response.

I know you are saying to yourself at this point "You shouldn't leave a 1 star review over that."

And you are correct, however, my Ocarina of Time arrived broken.

The packaging was inappropriate and it looks like it was dropped because the box was smashed in. Perhaps another box was placed on top of it. I'm unsure.

I do know that if you pay $200 for something, without free shipping, it must be packaged with the utmost care but this wasn't.

I literally threw away $200 for this since I know customer service is nonexistent. I have no way of a resolution. Whether that's a refund or replacement.

Now, I have to file a case with my financial institution - show them the damaged Ocarina of Time via photos, and let them confirm that a chargeback is necessary due to seller not responding.

There is so much hatred and anger in the world. I really don't like leaving a negative response.

If customer service had responded to any of the emails or phone calls I made before purchasing I wouldn't need to do this. However, since they ignore customers and package $200 products without caution, and don't offer free shipping, causing me to have to contact my financial institution, I must leave a negative review.

Additionally, the included "Song Book" is also why I'm leaving 1 star. The "Song Book" doesn't even have a fingering chart - but STL has a PDF file of the fingering chart on their website. It's not a "Song Book," it's a few pieces of paper with parts of songs (not all songs,) and no fingering chart.

This was a scam and not a "Small Business." Additionally, they removed this review after it was posted live.

sounds good, plays good. It is heavier, more noticeable on higher notes. not a fault of the maker, part of territory. I adjust my posture to not fatigue. I have learned many instruments so I approach this instrument with experience. You can absolutely get expressive and utilize advance techniques like tongue flutters or throat rumbles. even throat notes. You can bend notes up or down. easy to produce pleasent airy tones. the silver band aesthetic is nice though some parts are a little choppy and the whole triforce seems to have a seperation bubble under it but under the glaze. just aesthetic. Playing a bass ocarina and tenor or soprano helps you round out technique better on the other ones. I had a tenor and soprano for about a month, playing the bass for a few hours then trying the tenor and soprano after is some sort of life hack for me. made me instantly better at the smaller ocarinas and wouldnt you know, samewith the bass. perhaps having the 3 helps w the technical applications

Where do I begin? This ocarina certainly is large that's for sure. I received this back in February and it's my very first bass of any kind. It was very easy to play and as soon as I heard the first note I honestly had really intense goosebumps! The tone is soft, but haunting and ethereal. It's not very loud or piercing, but that's what I was hoping/looking for. It is heavy, but I mean naturally it's a heavy material, so if you're a beginner please mind this. There's something special about a bass ocarina where you can really feel the notes resonate in a primal or sort of elemental way.

This Ocarina has beautiful coulours, is easy to handle and sound really good. I will train some Zelda songs and others, like Misty Moutains Cold from The Hobbit! :)
