  • This brand new pendant ocarina is the latest addition to our Ocarevolution line. If you enjoy playing a pendant ocarina more than a 12 hole ocarina, then this is the ocarina for you.

Unlike a regular pendant ocarina, this "MaxRange" ocarina can play as many notes as a 12-hole ocarina (A4 to F6). It is also fully chromatic. This ocarina is about 5 inches long, accurately tuned in the key of C Major

We have included an detailed fingering chart, as well as free video lessons to assist you in learning to play this ethereal instrument.

    Two thumbs up

After I figured out that you are supposed to put your pinky over the mysterious extra hole, it sounded great!

    What a lovely curious thing!

It's bigger than I expected and impressively louder too. The higher notes require Huge breath pressure and it took me a while to get used to the fingering system (not a big deal though). But once you get a grip on the fingering and the air pressure, the overall impression is a definite WOW. It's highly ergonomic and pleasant to hold, the sound is pure and strong, and the new possibilities it gives you are awesome. Don't be intimidated by the big thumb holes warning. I have tiny, child size hands and have zero problem to seal the thumbholes. It's only a matter of grip and some experience. If you find it too challenging, try to get a pair of silicone thumb picks that some people use for playing the Kalimba (sold for pennies on Amazone etc.). And, there is also this extra wind hole that is so fun to experiment with! Try partially or fully sealing it with your right pinky while you play (yeah, I know, this is probably incorrect, but really fun ;). The bottom line: I Love it! Warmly recommended.

    Amazing

When I was a teenager I bought my first ocarina from STL - the blue Zelda 12 hole. Imagine my surprise when I saw one of their ads from ig. It's been over a decade!

This new one is awesome; smaller, has more range, can be worn as a pendant. It's amazing to say the least. Has a good weight to it and I plan to get a more comfortable necklace string to wear it for longer periods of time. I'm very happy to see STL still around, thank you so much!

    First Pendant

I was gifted this by a friend who sadly couldn't play it because she has very small fingers and the large thumb hole was impossible for her. I don't have that issue. It's a very nice size and easy for me to hold. The glaze/color is wonderful. I like the sound as well. It's by far the easiest to hit the low A and B of any of my ocarinas and using my lower lip to fipple bend to a low G is also pretty easy. The downside to that is the upper 3 notes take especially good technique to sound good. I'm very happy with this instrument. If you want a pendant that can play the full range+ of a 12 hole, this is the one to get.

    Pendant Ocarina

The ocarina is well made and sweet sounding. The colors/glaze are bright and the smoothness feels good to your hands. It is a little large and heavy to wear around one’s neck for long, but important to keep it from getting dropped and possibly chipped or broken. The on-line fingering chart printed on 8 1/2 X 11 paper is good except for the tiniest holes where it is difficult to see if they are open (white) or closed (black) since they all look black without a magnifier. Perhaps if they were a bit larger the difference would be readily apparent. I like having the extended range!
